Hush Haul

Hush Haul | I got all the essentials for under $50

I'm sure many of you have heard about the brand Hush, right? You've probably seen an #ad for it on Insta, Facebook, or some other social media platform. Well I needed some new makeup after realizing most of the make up I had was expired after being in storage for nearly two years.

I stuck with the basics: brush set, foundation, concealer, brow pen, gel liner (perfect for "winging it"), primer, and setting spray. Hush even threw in a beauty blender cleanser & perfect red lippie.

Here's the verdict..

Beauty Creations | Rose Gold Brush Set ( 6 piece ) - $16 , Waterproof Gel Eyeliner - $3

OMG. So this brush set...literally everything you actually need for everyday make up. It even has a highlighting fan brush. Only thing you might need to add is a good angled contour brush, but aside from that this is perfect for everyday make up. I'm not a huge make up wearer any more but this even sufficed for semi-glam for date night. I love it so much. The rose gold textured style is perfect, I just need to find a little display for it! Any recommendations?

Also, I'm obsessed with this eyeliner. I'm big on gel eyeliner because its the only type I can do okay looking wings with lol. I'm no pro, but this type of eyeliner makes it so easy. Its also super durable, I have hooded lids so its hard to find eyeliner that doesn't crease. I got my mom hooked on this too!

Milani | 2 in 1 foundation + concealer ( Natural 2) - $9

Y'all I have searched high and low for this brand. My favorite lipstick ( Dulce Carmelo ) is by Milani, and they have yet again blown my mind. Their products also have this smell, I can't recall what it is, other than it being heavenly. Anyhow, this is definitely going to be my go-to foundation now. It doesn't dry me or or make me overly oily. I also typically have a problem with my foundation separating and this combined with my Bare Minerals veil didn't have that problem at all. I do think I should've gone one shade lower since I'm not my usual summer tan self, but that was my own fault. I'll be ordering it again in Light Beige when I need to replenish my stock for winter.

LA Girl | HD Pro Concealer ( Porcelain ) - $4

I'm not one to go big on concealer unless I'm getting my Tarte Shape Tape, which I love to use with facial oil as a foundation. I typically do this when I'm super tan and summer glowing. For the rest of the year I go with a basic foundation + concealer combo. This one didn't crease as much as my Dior Forever Undercover does, so it'll definitely get a lot of use for everyday makeup.

LA Colors | Browie Wowie Brow Pencil ( Dark Blonde - I personally don't want to make my brows any bolder so I go a shade or two lighter & match my undertone ) - $3

I typically go for the Bare Minerals BrowMaster, but honestly didn't want to spend that much on something that gets used up so quick. I love this as a dupe, it's super easy to use and actually doesn't rub off that easily. After adding setting spray I had no problem with it staying all day. Definitely a must-have.

Santee | Face Primer - $2

I love a good primer. Even drugstore brands run for about $10, so when I saw this I had to try it out. I'm not super impressed, but it definitely works for everyday wear. I'd rather spend $2 than $52 on something that I wear on a daily. I definitely wouldn't recommend it if you prefer more of a glam look, but if you wear more natural make up like myself it does the job.

City Color | Oil-Control Matte Setting Spray - $6

Okay so this stuff is awesome. I normally only use the Urban Decay All-nighter setting spray, but this stuff is great. It smells just like my rose water mist and makes my make up stay perfect all day (even through a 90 minute workout). I definitely recommend it if you are looking for something more affordable.

Beauty Blender | Blender Cleanser - complimentary

I haven't used this yet since I can't find my Beauty Blenders, but I thought it was so great of Hush to send as little sample.

Kleancolor | Madly Matte Lipstick ( trailblazer ) - complimentary

So I'm not one for matte lippies or a bold lip, but I actually really liked this. This shade is perfect for summer or as a go to red lip. Hubby typically thinks I look better with a gloss or creamy lip, but he actually thought this really complimented me. Win-Win.

Overall Experience

All in all I loved my experience with Hush and will definitely purchase from them again. They have an amazing selection of beauty products, reliable dupes for premier brands, and have amazing customer service. Plus who doesn't enjoy getting a delivery in a the most perfect pink box? Oh, and did I mention my products showed up a week early?! Y'all need to get on this bandwagon asap. My sensitive skin, blotchy textured face is so happy that it can go out #slayin without breaking the bank.
